The Island of Harris is in the Western Isles (or Outer Hebrides ) of Scotland. Transportation links to the mainland are provided by Caledonian Macbraynes ferries and British Regional Airways. From Stornoway
- Take the A859 to Tarbert.
Keep on this road for about 37 miles until you reach Tarbert. Carry straight
on through the village of Tarbert, take first left after the Harris Hotel
and proceed along Main Street Tarbert. After
Bank of Scotland take the left junction and proceed past the Church on
right hand side for 200 yards. Tigh na Mara is located on the right hand
side of the road. If you are planning to visit the Isle of Harris we would very much appreciate you taking a little time to complete the Sea Harris Survey. If there is interest in comfortable scenic boat trips to the unspoilt Islands that make up archipelago of Harris then a boat will be built to meet the demand, and who knows with your help the service might be in place by the time you come to visit. |
