The Island of Harris is in the Western Isles (or Outer Hebrides ) of Scotland. Transportation links to the mainland are provided by Caledonian Macbraynes ferries and British Regional Airways.

From Stornoway - Take the A859 to Tarbert. Keep on this road for about 37 miles until you reach Tarbert. Carry straight on through the village of Tarbert, take first left after the Harris Hotel and proceed along Main Street Tarbert. After Bank of Scotland take the left junction and proceed past the Church on right hand side for 200 yards. Tigh na Mara is located on the right hand side of the road.
From Leverburgh - Take the A859 to Tarbert
along the West Side of Harris for about 23 miles. After sign for Tarbert take right junction at the foot of the hill and proceed along Main Street Tarbert. After Bank of Scotland take the left junction and proceed past the Church on right hand side for 200 yards. Tigh na Mara is located on the right hand side of the road
From Tarbert ferry Terminal :
by car -
on leaving the ferry turn left, take the first right hand junction, proceed along Main Street Tarbert
. After Bank of Scotland take the left junction and proceed past the Church on right hand side for 200 yards. Tigh na Mara is located on the right hand side of the road
by foot- on disembarking from the ferry carry on past the MacLeod Motel and Tourist Information Office, at brow of hill take the right junction
and proceed past the Church on right hand side for 200 yards. Tigh na Mara is located on the right hand side of the road
